Overview

This 7-day, 6-night safari adventure showcases the Big Cats of Tanzania — lion, leopard, and cheetah — while exploring a variety of stunning ecosystems teeming with other iconic safari wildlife. Your journey is timed for Northern Serengeti, where you will likely witness the magnificent migrating wildebeest herds at this time of year.

Each day features thrilling game drives and insightful conservation visits. You will stay in a selection of classic lodges and luxury tented camps, each offering warm hospitality and full-board meals (unless otherwise noted). The journey is designed to begin on a Sunday and end on a Saturday in Arusha, Tanzania, perfectly aligned with international flight arrivals on Day 1 and departures on Day 7.

Itinerary

Day 1	Arrive in Tanzania at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Grand Melia Hotel, Arusha
	Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a warm welcome awaits you. Your dedicated Kalama Safaris representative will greet you personally at the airport, assist with immigration and customs formalities, and ensure a smooth private transfer to the luxurious Grand Melia Hotel in Arusha. This first evening is yours to relax and recover from your international journey. Settle into your elegant room, unwind by the pool, or enjoy a welcome drink while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Tanzania as you prepare for the adventure ahead. Full board.
Day 2	Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area
	After breakfast, you’ll embark on a spectacular scenic drive through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and over the Ngorongoro Highlands. You’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch at the serene Gibb’s Farm, a luxurious restful stop nestled on the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. This historic luxury boutique lodge and working organic coffee estate offers the perfect farm-to-table sanctuary. You will then continue to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for a relaxing one-night stay, with stunning views of the crater from your room.
Days 3-4	Drive to the Lake Ndutu Region to Experience the Off-Road Game Drives
	After breakfast, you’ll embark on an unforgettable drive through ever-changing scenery of dramatic escarpments, volcanic highlands, and wildlife-rich savannah. Along the way, visit a traditional Maasai village. You will arrive at Ndutu Luxury Lodge in time for lunch and enjoy a two-night stay in this exclusive, intimate camp, ideally located in the heart of the Southern Serengeti. After settling in, head out for an exciting afternoon game drive in search of Big Cats, followed by dinner at the lodge. The following day, enjoy morning and late-afternoon off-road game drives in this prime migration area.
Days 5-6	Drive to Northern Serengeti
	Start your day with an exciting morning game drive in the Ndutu area, one of the best regions for close predator encounters and abundant wildlife. After the game drive, you will collect a delicious picnic box lunch and begin your scenic drive north through the Serengeti ecosystem toward the Northern Serengeti. This full-day journey allows you to enjoy your lunch in the wild while soaking in the ever-changing landscapes and possible wildlife sightings along the way. You will arrive in the afternoon at the beautiful Kuria Hills Lodge or Sayari Camp, your home for the next two nights. Located in the heart of the Northern Serengeti, the lodge offers excellent access to the famous Mara River region and superb game viewing.
Day 7	Fly Back to Arusha for International Flight Home
	After a final early morning game drive (weather and flight schedule permitting), you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Depending on your flight times, you will be transferred to a day room at a hotel near the airport, where you can freshen up and rest before continuing to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international flight home.
