Lake Ndutu

The Ndutu Lake area is west of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and has strong cheetah and lion populations. Common in the area are hartebeest, spotted hyena, and jackals. January and March the migrating herds of over 1.4 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra return to the rich Ndutu short grass plains for calving that usually peaks around February.
