peabodymac2023-05-23Trip of a LIFETIME !! Most Excellent Guide EVER! Personable, knowledgeable, caring, and a very positive person who emanates warmth and acceptance of everyone. Non-judgmental and makes sure every person has the very Best trip. David somehow Knows when where and how to find the animals and his drivers are very skilled in all types of terrain. I have gone twice to Africa with Kalama as my Safari guide and would recommend him without hesitation or reservation. This is a trip of a lifetime that gets into your soul.
Janelle K2022-10-01Can’t wait to travel with Kalama again! David is an excellent host. The trip was well planned with lots of great surprises. We saw so everything we were hoping and more. David felt like part of our family immediately. The jeeps were comfy and well stocked. The lodgings were amazing. The food all all the locations was amazing. There was always something for all tastes. We were treated like royalty. We had lots of time to see animals and rest and enjoy family time. We will absolutely be back for another adventure again

Being able to share this experience win my family of 12 including 7 grandkids (from 9-20) was a trip of a lifetime Three months later, we are still exchanging pictures David is sensational! He made it fun for everyone as well as educational Every day was new and exciting Don’t be hesitant to take young children They will not be bored Enough pool time to get out some energy and always excited to see what they would see the next day! They all want to go back and do it again!
PatrickH092022-09-29The only way to Safari You are missing out on the best way to safari if you go with anyone other than David Kalama. He provides amazing connections that give you white glove service throughout the entire trip, his knowledge of the local history and animals is unmatched, and he will put you in the best possible position to get the best shots of all of the local flora and fauna. It also helps that he’s a ton of fun to hang out with. We consider him family after having gone to him for several visits, and we hope to do more in the future. BOOK A TRIP ASAP!

Very professional company, and not only finds the animals but also a great photography teacher.Fred M2021-10-10The Best Safari Experience. We planned this Safari with David Kalama Wildlife & Photographic Safaris with David Kalama and Barbara Foster, his Safari Coordinator located in the US. They were very thorough in providing us with not only the best travel locations but with great lodging at the Serena Lodges, booking internal flights and helping us coordinate the COVID 19 protocols. David is a master at locating the wildlife in their habitat. We were able to see and photograph them close up. The highlight was the great Wildebeasts migration across the Mara river. We had a location right on the riverbank and the animals passed right in front of us. A couple were attacked by the Crocodiles but managed to escape. The Safari was the best experience and the personal service was outstanding. I highly recommend David Kalama Safari
Tom Merrick2021-10-10Best Safari experience EVER!! David will make sure you have the best safari experience! The preplanning was easy and the pricing was reasonable, even though we were half a world away, with all of his extensive connections and experience as well as having a USA representative. By simply telling him what we wanted to experience he was able to put together the perfect itinerary for our small group. Wonderful lodging in Serena lodges as well as luxurious Serengeti tented lodge and lots of game drives where David somehow finds and the most amazing situations and animals. My highlight was him finding the prime spot to watch the great migration of wildebeest crossing the Mara River with the drama of crocodiles trying to take down several of them…just like on “Wild Kingdom” that I used to watch on Sunday nights growing up. The close up viewing of beautiful wild animals are too numerous to detail but included prides of lions lounging after a kill, parades of elephants with their newborn babies, tower of giraffes lumbering past us, leopards both sleeping in trees as well as on the hunt, hippos, hyenas, gazelles and many more mammals as well as hundreds of beautiful species of birds. David has an eye for spotting them and being at the right place at the right time and if very patient. His game drives are not limited to two hours like most companies, and he stays out pretty much as long as you want to. I can’t recommend David and Kalama Wildlife Photographic Safaris enough. Contact him and you won’t regret it!

David's knowledge of photography is unsurpassed. Seeing animals in their habitat is an unforgettable experience! Every day is a feast of wildlife sightings.
