NDUTU CONSERVATION AREA – Tanzania
Ndutu Conservation Area is one of the most exciting and wildlife-rich areas in the entire Serengeti ecosystem, located on the short-grass plains of southern Tanzania near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This seasonal wonderland becomes the stage for one of nature’s greatest spectacles — the calving season of the Great Wildebeest Migration. From December through March and into April, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather here to give birth, creating a dramatic landscape filled with newborn calves and the constant presence of predators.
